International Shipping Products - Migration to Sky Team Products

Effective July 1, 2006, Northwest will adopt the Sky Team products for general freight: Equation, Equation Heavy, Dimension, and Dimension Flex. These lines of shipping options are replacing the Select product line.

Equation is a small shipment express product that receives the highest priority of any other freight product. This is a new product for Northwest, with quicker service parameters not offered by the Select product line.

• Flight specific booking destination
• Highest Priority boarding and handling
• 120 minutes before departure acceptance time*
• 180 minutes connections time*
• 90 minutes recovery time at destination*
• Loose freight only. Maximum 300 kgs per air waybill. Maximum 70 kgs per piece
• Open to all Northwest stations worldwide, and to destinations in Europe, Africa, and Middle East served by KLM beyond Amsterdam
• This product does not apply to shipments of live animals, human remains, articles of extraordinary value, dangerous goods, or perishables.

Equation Heavy is an express product that offers flight specific arrival and quick recovery times for general freight. When speed is required, depend on us to get your shipments there on time. Equation Heavy is equivalent to and replaces the Select 100 product.

• Flight specific booking to destination
• Priority boarding and handling
• 4 hours before departure acceptance time for loose freight*
• 3 hours before departure acceptance time for built freight*
• 3 hours recovery time at destination*
• This product does not apply to shipments of live animals, human remains, or articles of extraordinary value.

Dimension is our standard product for general freight, especially consolidations. This product will continue to offer regular acceptance and recovery times on our extensive network at general air freight rates. Dimension is equivalent to and replaces the Select 300 product.

• 4 hours recovery time at destination*
• This product does not apply to shipments of live animals, human remains, or articles of extraordinary values.

Dimension Flex

Dimension Flex is our economy product offering lower rates for shipments that are less time-sensitive. This product is equivalent to and replaces the Select 500 product.

• No flight specific booking
• Arrival within 5 calendar days after tender
• Economy pricing
• This product does not apply to shipments of live animals, human remains, or articles of extraordinary value
