Each ticketed passenger is allowed one (1) piece of checked luggage.
Will I receive a receipt for luggage charges?
Yes, a receipt will be provided at the time of payment of luggage fees through a Self-service Check-in Kiosk or a Northwest agent at the airport. Please retain the original receipt for your records - duplicate receipts are not available.
The charge for a second piece of checked luggage on flights within North America will only apply to international travelers that do not check their luggage through to their final destination. Customers who claim their luggage at a North American airport and then re-check their luggage for a North American domestic flight departing eight hours or more later will be assessed the $25 fee for the second piece of checked luggage and a $100 fee for each additional piece of checked luggage. For overweight and/or oversized luggage, the Northwest Airlines International Luggage Policy applies.
