Northwest Recognizes Frequent Travelers With New “1-2-3 Free”* Promotion
Travelers earn a free coach class travel certificate after completing three roundtrips
MINNEAPOLIS -- (February 10, 2004) -- Northwest Airlines today launched its “1-2-3 Free”* promotion, rewarding its frequent customers for their loyalty, and increasing awareness of all of the services and products Northwest offers.
Between now and June 15, 2004, members of Northwest WorldPerks frequent flyer program can earn a free coach class certificate after completing just three roundtrips on qualifying fares to any Northwest or KLM worldwide destinations. All qualifying travel must originate or terminate in the 50 United States or Canada and be on Northwest or KLM-operated flights. The free certificate is good for travel within the 48 contiguous states or between the 48 contiguous states and Canada. For Hawaii and Alaska residents, the certificate is good for travel between Hawaii or Alaska and the 48 contiguous states. Free travel must take place between Sept. 1, 2004 and June 15, 2005.

Advance registration in the 1-2-3 Free promotion before qualifying travel commences is required by April 15, 2004, through www.nwa.com/promo/123free2. Membership in Northwest’s WorldPerks program also is required, and instant enrollment can be completed online at www.nwa.com. The 1-2-3 Free promotion is available to WorldPerks members with a mailing address in the U.S. or Canada. To qualify, tickets must be booked in paid published P, F, R, U, C, J, Z, S, Y, B, H, M, Q or V fare categories. The offer does not apply to travel booked in L, T, or K classes. Qualifying travel must be completed by June 15, 2004. Participants in the 1-2-3 Free promotion can earn a maximum of two free travel e-certs. Northwest’s 1-2-3 Free travel e-cert is valid for travel within the 48 contiguous states and Canada. 1-2-3 FREE PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Travelers must be a WorldPerks member with a mailing address in the US50 or Canada to participate in this offer. Individuals may enroll online at www.nwa.com or call 1-800-225-2525 to become a member and receive an account number. There is no cost to join. This offer is not retroactive. WorldPerks members must register for this promotion prior to departure and not later than April 15, 2004. Northwest Airlines is not responsible for any malfunctions associated with the Web registration process that result in late registration or incomplete information. Participants must complete three qualifying roundtrips to earn a free travel e-cert. Qualifying travel must occur after registration and be completed between February 10 and June 15, 2004. Travel must be on paid, published fares booking in P, F, R, U, C, J, Z, S, Y, B, H, M, Q and V booking classes. Fares booked in L, T and K class are not eligible. When booking at www.nwa.com, follow the steps to book tickets. After selecting a ticket price, customers should review the “booking class(es)” notation to determine the booking class of the flight. When purchasing tickets at 1-800-225-2525 or through a travel professional, customers must verify their booking class while making the reservation. All qualifying travel must originate or terminate in the 50 United States or Canada and be on Northwest or KLM-operated flights (1-1999), Northwest Airlink flights numbered (2700-3699) and operated by Mesaba Airlines or (5600-5979) operated by Pinnacle Airlines. A maximum of two free travel e-cert awards may be earned per participant. A maximum of one roundtrip is permitted toward qualification per day. Roundtrip travel is defined as two one-way trips. A one-way trip is defined as an initial origination and final destination regardless of the number of segments. Continuing flights scheduled within four hours on domestic itineraries (24 hours on international) are considered connections and will be counted as part of a single roundtrip, regardless of the number of tickets issued. WorldPerks members must fly and earn WorldPerks miles on their trips to qualify for this award. The WorldPerks account number registered for the promotion must be used when completing any qualifying activity. The award from this promotion is in addition to regular credited flight miles, class of service bonus and Elite tier bonus miles. The free travel e-cert will be e-mailed to the WorldPerks member once qualifying travel has been completed. The e-mail address used will be the most current e-mail address in Northwest's e-mail database, NWA e-mail, located at www.nwa.com/wpemail. If a WorldPerks member’s e-mail is not currently in Northwest's e-mail database, it must be provided when registering for promotion in order to complete registration and receive free travel e-cert. WorldPerks member must maintain a valid e-mail address with NWA e-mail from registration date until 10 weeks after promotion ends in order to remain eligible for award. If a valid e-mail is not available to Northwest at time of offer fulfillment, no award will be given. Many corporations use filtering software which prevents promotional messages from being delivered, even if customers have requested to receive these e-mails.
