If You're Making a Connection:
- Once inside the terminal, check monitors to find the location and status of your connecting flight.
- We will take care of transferring checked baggage from one plane to another. You won't need to visit a baggage claim unless you are flying internationally.
- If you're flying internationally and have a connection, you'll need to clear customs and check your baggage a second time. Allow extra time to pass through customs, but note that most facilities have a connection belt, so when you're done with your inspection, transferring baggage to your next destination will be easy.
- If connecting in Amsterdam, your baggage will be checked to your final destination. Check monitors inside the terminal to find your gate. There are KLM transfer desks located throughout the terminal to answer questions, print boarding passes, etc. If you are traveling to a Schengen country (most of continental Europe), you will need to go through passport and security screening in Amsterdam.
- For customers connecting at Tokyo-Narita, follow signs to the security checkpoint for transit passengers. Once you have cleared the security checkpoint, check monitors to find your connecting gate within the terminal. Your checked baggage will be tagged all the way to your final destination.
- If you have a boarding pass for your next flight, go straight to your gate. If you're unsure of the gate location, check airport monitors or ask an airport gate agent to look up your flight.
- We offer single-building connections at our hubs in Minneapolis/St.Paul, Detroit and Memphis, so you needn't worry about locating a new terminal when you connect.
Finally, while you're waiting, there's a Delta Sky Club™ lounge or partner lounge available at nearly every airport.
