Make-A-Wish Foundation® International

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children under the age of 18 with life-threatening illnesses. It is the largest wish granting organization in the world, with 27 international affiliates spanning five continents, and 76 chapters in the United States and its territories. Through private donations and the efforts of more than 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 110,000 wishes around the world since its inception in 1980. It is only through charitable donations from individuals, corporations, and organizations that the Make-A-Wish Foundation is able to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) - Doctors without Borders

MSF is an independent humanitarian medical agency which offers assistance to populations in danger without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, sex, creed or political affiliations. In 1999 MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its work. MSF today operates in more than 80 countries providing emergency medical assistance to victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and access to health care to people in countries with insufficient health facilities. ORBIS

ORBIS is a non-aligned, non-profit global development organisation whose mission is to preserve and restore sight by strengthening the capacity of local partners in their efforts to prevent and treat blindness. ORBIS's interventions are concentrated in countries with a high incidence of avoidable blindness. ORBIS visiting faculty includes some of the world's finest ophthalmic surgeons, all of whom donate their time to ORBIS to conduct teaching programmes to disseminate the latest surgical techniques to their local counterparts. To date, ORBIS has carried out nearly 500 medical programmes in 80 countries and has restored the sight of more than 20,000 patients. Most importantly, ORBIS has trained 50,000 doctors and nurses in sight-saving skills. By "training the trainers", it is estimated that ORBIS has restored sight to millions of people.
ORBIS's main teaching tool is its DC-10 aircraft, a fully equipped eye surgery hospital. Since 1982, when the ORBIS teaching hospital first took to the skies, the organisation has conducted 210 plane programmes globally. In the DC-10 operating theatre, local doctors, nurses, anaesthesiologists, and biomedical engineers assist selected international faculty members. The Childhood Cancer Foundation of Taiwan

Established in 1982, the goals of the Foundation are to provide appropriate care for children with cancer and to promote awareness of and concern for children with cancer.
The work of the Foundation is multi-faceted including:

  • Setting up a database of children with cancer
  • Subsidizing medical expenses and financial support
  • Providing continuity care
  • Sponsoring parents' meetings
  • Publishing the quarterly newsletter
  • Providing public education
  • Providing training programs
  • Setting up a well-organized health care network

Korea International Volunteer Organization (KVO International)

As an INGO(International Non Government Organization), KVO(Korea International Volunteer Organization) has provided a variety of volunteer services around the world under the banner of "From Me! From Here! From Now!" since its foundation back in 1988. Our voluntary Services including:

  • Operating a free hospital and consulting the concerned treatment in the jungle of Riberalta, Bolivia
