About the Aircares Program

Northwest Airlines presents you with an opportunity to help those in need through our AirCares charitable support program. Created in 1992, AirCares now actively assists more than 30 charitable organizations in the US alone. As a result, designated charities have received more than 100 million SkyMiles miles from our members.

In January 2001, Northwest Airlines launched the AirCares charitable support program in Asia - giving you the opportunity to help worthwhile causes such as our latest charity partner, Make-A-Wish Foundation® International. Your mileage donations will help to provide air travel for the notable organizations listed below.

• Make-A-Wish Foundation® - Granting the wishes of children around the world who are living with life-threatening illnesses.
• Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctor without Borders) - Bringing emergency medical aid to suffering people in over 80 countries.
• ORBIS - Committed to preserving and restoring sight, has given the wondrous gift of seeing to over 20,000 people.
• Childhood Cancer Foundation of R.O.C. - Touching the lives of kids with cancer in real and practical ways.
• Korean International Volunteer Organization (KVO International) - Providing a variety of volunteer services including emergency aid in Mongolia.

To make your donations online, click here. Your donated miles will then be deducted from your SkyMiles account and used for charitable purpose.

Terms and Conditions

• Please contact the charity partners for any cash donations.
• SkyMiles will not be held responsible for receipt/loss of cash or cheque donations.
• Donated amount of mileage will be locked and deducted from your account within 4-6 weeks.
• Donation details will be reported in your next mileage summary.
• Your request will be denied if there are insufficient miles in your SkyMiles account.
